Two of my friends from OBU, Brad & Alicja, own a sweet coffee shop in the heart of Shawnee, America. It’s full of personality; hidden in an old building that they’ve poured a lot of love into & decorated with a modern feel. You can’t help but love stepping foot into the place. I’m such a sucker for coffee shops, especially in small towns, and LOVE venturing out to Shawnee to just get away from the city & enjoy a brew from their place, “Sips.”
A few weeks back, I presented them with a creative concept I’ve had in my mind for some time now and fortunately, they agreed to let me step into their world and allow my creative juices to flow! Rayna & Matty, the baristas working at the time, were so incredibly awesome to work with. It’s always nice to launch an idea at someone and they totally catch it. I had such a fun time!
A big round of thanks to Brad & Al, Rayna, Matt and the locals for letting me finally get this concept out of my head & onto my blog. YOU GUYS ROCK! For everyone in the OKC metro (and beyond) check out SIPS Downtown Kafe in Shawnee! http://www.sipskafe.com/
Cheers!
I loved everything about this session. Ashley is a gorgeous girl & such a natural behind the lens! We got very lucky as there was no wind on the morning we photographed these & it was even warmer than expected!
I had the honor of photographing Ashley’s wedding two weeks ago so stay tuned for pictures from her & Justin’s big day! Enjoy!
Last year, my sister & I collaborated & did a cute Valentine’s session with Owen & Ellie filled with bright colors & balloons. So, when this year’s holiday was approaching, we discussed another session. At first, I wanted more of a cozy outdoor setting but my sister suggest Kaiser’s American Bistro in Midtown and I’m SO glad she did! We decided to run with the theme of soda shop. What kid can resist a root beer float or sundae?! (As a big kid, I can’t either) The kids did great and the employees were incredibly welcoming…a sweet worker even snagged some shots! Overall, we had a fun time and the kids did great. Although, I couldn’t help but feel a little guilty about sending them off with my sister after pumping them full of sugar! Then again, that’s the beauty of being an aunt! HA;)
Anyway, here are some of my favorites from the session!
Hope you all enjoy. Happy Valentine’s Day!
